Buick Skylark
The Buick Skylark was first produced in 1953 as convertibles (regular production models only). This first generation Skylark, which also included the 1954 model year, was perhaps the best looking Skylark out of the 7 generations produced. The car was actually built using the Roadmaster design, except that GM gave the Skylark all of the options the Roadmaster had and made them standard to the Skylark. The Skylark suffered from this decision it appears because the public realized it was nothing more than an upgraded Roadmaster, and were unwiling to pay the extra $1,800 on the Skylark's price tag (the Roadmaster convertible only sold for $3,200 while the Skylark was $5,000).
Here's a nice 4 door fixer for ya!
